Is it possible to predetermine the sex of a fetus?

I am not talking about surgery or anything ... My husband says that to do with testicles during the sexual event can determine the sex of a fetus if it is designed. adding cold supposedly determines a woman, and a heat determines male sex. I do not know if this is true, but I can not find anything on Google. Does anyone know anything about this? We try best to conceive. I wonder!
