How do I have a tournament with 13 teams, without using a double elimination style?
Please help me.
Using a silver stick format.
Each team plays 2 round robin games at random.
Ex. 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, 5 vs 6, 7 vs 8, 9 vs 10, 11 vs 12, 13 vs 1, 2 vs 3, 4 vs 5, 6 vs 7, 8 vs 9, 10 vs 11, 12 vs 13
Top 8 advance to championship round.
Bottom 5 drop to Consolation Round.
Top 8 advance into quarterfinals ranked 1-8 based on their 2 round robin games with goal differential as a tiebreaker. Single-Elimination from that point on.
Bottom 5 advance to a consolation round robin and play 2 more games at random carrying their first round record in with them. Whoever has most points at end of tourney wins consolation round.
